Netflix, Will You Be My Valentine

Attention single people! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and if you don’t have any plans this year (you probably don’t), here is one for you. Unlike boyfriends/girlfriends, movies will never break-up with you; they will always be there for you. Sure it might be fun to actually go out with some of your single friends, but wouldn’t you rather spend this disgusting and nauseating holiday all by yourself, in your bed, watching Netflix and eating your favorite ice cream? Now that’s more like it! Here are 10 romantic comedies that will make you hate Valentine’s Day a little less.

The Kissing Booth: If you haven’t already watched this, which is highly doubtful, The Kissing Booth is an interesting teen film. It follows the story of a high-school student who kisses her long-term crush in a kissing booth. Later, she comes face-to-face with the conflict between friendship or love.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before: This is another movie you should’ve watched already, but if you haven’t do that right now! It’s a young adult romantic comedy that follows the theme of self-confidence, honesty, and of course, love. A young girl is faced with a problem after all of her love letters, that were not supposed to be mailed out, were mailed out to each of the boys she has ever loved. Watch it and see if you believe in teenage romance.

Love, Rosie: This British film follows the love story of Rosie and Alex, who have been best friends since they were five; they couldn’t possibly live without each other. What happens when Alex and his family move to America? Watch to find out if their friendship survives or if true love becomes stronger than friendship.

Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging: This coming of age story is quite humorous as 14-year-old Georgia Nicholson attempts to impress a boy. This clumsy teen, although she tries to be herself, constantly embarrasses herself. She can’t possibly find love, or can she?

Pretty in Pink: Andie, an outcast at her high school, hangs out either with her older boss or her quirky classmate. When one of the popular kids at school asks her out, it seems too good to be true. Usually when something is too good to be true, it probably is. But as Andie starts falling for the cool guy, she begins to realizes that dating someone from a different social group is not what she expected.

When We First Met: Adam DeVine stars in this comedy about time travel. He spends Halloween with the girl of his dreams, only to be friend-zoned. Later that same night, he gets the opportunity to time travel over and over again to change some things around until he gets his perfect ending.

Set It Up: What do you do to get your boss off your back? That’s right, you play Cupid! In this Netflix film, two overworked assistants plan to set their bosses together. It sounds simple, but these two assistants go through some rough times. Watch it and find out what’s in store for them.

Cinderella Story: The classic tale of a young girl with the evil step sisters and the dashing prince. What better love story than Cinderella’s? Don’t just watch one, watch them all. Luckily for you they are all on Netflix.

Did You Hear About the Morgans?: Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker star in this amazing romantic film. These New Yorkers seem to have it all. But their marriage is slowly starting to crumble. They find themselves in more troubles after witnessing a murder. In order to protect themselves from the assassin, federal agents take the couple to a small town in Wyoming. There they will come face-to-face with their marriage. Watch and find out if there is still hope left for this crashing marriage.

The Notebook: Duh! You will not have a good Valentine’s Day without watching The Notebook. This is a classic romance movie that will have your pillow soaked in tears. Nothing is better than the classic ‘kissing in the rain’ scene. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams really did a number on this one; it’s one of the greatest love stories of all time. You’ve got to watch it!
