At the end of a magical homecoming night, many students are famished and low on cash. With many restaurants closing by the time the event ends, it would be hard for anyone to find a tasty, affordable and open restaurant to enter. Here are a few of the best cheap and affordable restaurants for students to try after homecoming.
IHOP
IHop is a sixty year old mega franchise dating back to 1958. They specialize in pancakes and they are sure to fill up your appetite. Their sirloin tips and eggs dish is an example of a great meal for a reasonable price. It comes with sirloin tips and eggs, along with hash browns and their world famous pancakes. You can wash that down with their delicious orange juice or a cup of hot coffee. The dish itself will cost you close to thirteen dollars, which is reasonable when you think about everything you get in return. Overall, you’ll be sure to get your money’s worth with IHOP.
Waffle House
Waffle House is a another mega franchise that happens to be even older than IHOP at sixty-three years old. Since 1955, they’ve been creating only the most delightful waffles one could ever dream of. The waffles can make someone feel as though they are on the lightest of clouds and want to sing the happiest of hymns. You can pick up their All-Star special, which comes with one waffle, two eggs, grits, toast, and a choice between bacon, sausage or ham for $7.50 to $8.30. If your not in the mood for that much food, you can get a single waffle for $3.05 or two for $4.05. They will be sure to satisfy your hunger like only an American diner can.
McDonald’s
McDonald’s is one of the largest fast food companies in the world and is very well-known . It has been around since 1955 and it has been one of the most dominant fast food chains every since, with restaurants spanning across the globe. There are a plethora of options to choose from including chicken nuggets, burgers, fries, shakes and more. You can get the most bang for your buck on the value menu, with items for up to three dollars. Regardless of what you have in your pocket, McDonald’s is sure to give you a quality meal for it.
Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza
Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza is one of the best pizza places in Florida. The have a plethora of flavorful pizza creations for you and all of your friends to enjoy. Their traditional 12” pie, topped with mozzarella, plum tomatoes, romano cheese, basil and olive oil will cost you $12.25 before the taxes but their pizza is perfect for any price. They have the richest of sauces and the crunchiest of crusts. After eating from here you’ll definitely want to come over and over for seconds.
These were just a few well-priced restaurants that will be ready to serve you after homecoming. If none of these places interest you, why don’t you and your friends go to your local grocery store, pick up some ingredients, and cook together. It will be a great way to make delicious food while forging precious memories for you and your friends to think of. Hopefully the students of MLEC can have just as great a night after homecoming as they do during.
