It’s that time of year where girls go crazy trying to find the perfect dress for prom, and the boys try to keep up with their dates in order to rent, or buy their matching tux on time.

However, there’s a completely logical reason as to why girls stress out trying to find the perfect dress that screams “pick me.” Not only is it a concern that someone may have the same dress as them, but it’s also a huge concern about how much it’ll cost. Worry no more, there’s plenty of stores, and online websites that offer the best prom outfits for every person.

The one thing you should never do is shop for a prom dress in a department store. Although, department store dresses are pretty and prom-worthy, too many people shop there, and it is normally the first choice. Skipping the department stores reduces the risks of accidentally wearing the same outfit as another person.

One store that gets overlooked, and that isn’t exactly just around the corner is Nordstrom. Nordstrom carries many different prom dresses of every sort of style, and color. The benefit is that not only can you walk in the store, but you can order it online as well. Prices range from $60-$300.

Another store is David’s Bridal. Obviously, seniors are going to prom, not getting married; however, David’s Bridal doesn’t only sell wedding dresses. They also branch out to graduation, homecoming, and prom dresses. Not many people think to shop here due to the name, yet they carry a variety of options to choose from. Prices range from $50-$300.

Windsor is yet another store that gets looked past, and has absolutely stunning dresses. It’s not as common as other stores, which is why it doesn’t get so much attention, but this is a perfect store to look for a prom dress. Their dresses are elegant and classic, with the typical prom feel to them. Prices range from $30-$300.

Stores are usually the first option to shop for a prom outfit, but there’s multiple online websites where an outfit can be found. The one tip that is always given is to be sure that the dress is ordered it in the most accurate size possible. Otherwise, a huge amount of stress about getting the dress resized, or finding an entirely new dress—having a back up dress just in case helps in these cases. Some websites that sell top-quality prom dresses, and are affordable are: Promgirl, Pretty Little Thing, and Lulu’s.

Prom season is a bit stressful and hectic. Nonetheless, nothing feels better than wearing the dress that feels like it was made for you, that you can dance, and have fun in all night long.
