It’s summer and we’re in Miami. The best thing to do is take advantage of all the awesome things going on right here. What’s even better? Most of them are FREE. Here is a list of mostly free upcoming events:
June 26th
Town of Miami Lakes Summer Board Game Night
“Sponsored by the Town’s Youth Activities Task Force, this game night offers a friendly environment that encourages social interaction in a non-digital format between family and friends. The goal of this event is to bring the residents of Miami Lakes together using board games to create a fun and whimsical atmosphere that encourages positive social exchanges.” – Town of Miami Lakes
Time: 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Location: Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 NW 82nd Avenue
This event will be held every other Friday until August 21st.
Museum of Contemporary Art
“The Museum of Contemporary Art is a collecting museum located in the heart of downtown North Miami, Florida. MoCA offers visitors both temporary exhibitions and exhibitions of its collection.” – MOCA
Time: Open from 11AM – 5PM
Location: Joan Lehman Building, 770 NE 125th Street North Miami, Florida 33161
This museum offers free admissions every last Friday of the month.
Viernes Culturales/Cultural Fridays
“Anyone who enjoys live music, dancing under the stars, art galleries, domino games, cigar rollers, local arts and crafts and delighting in the wonder that is Little Havana is more than welcome to be a part of Cultural Fridays!” – Viernes Culturales
Time: 7PM – 11PM
Location: Calle Ocho (Little Havana, between 13thand 17th Avenues)
This event is free every last Friday of the month.
July 3rd
Patricia & Phillip Frost Museum of Science: Laser Show
“The Space Transit Planetarium at the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science has been producing laser shows since 1975 and we employ some of the latest laser technology displayed on our 4 story high and 7 story wide dome.” – PF Laser Show

Zoo Miami
“The Miami-Dade Zoological Park and Gardens, branded and commonly known as Zoo Miami, and formerly known as Miami MetroZoo, is the largest and oldest zoological garden in Florida, and the only tropical zoo in the United States.” – Zoo Miami
Time: Open from 10AM – 5PM
Location: 1 Zoo Boulevard 12400 SW 152 Street Miami, FL 33177
The zoo offers free admission every first Saturday of the month.
Fourth of July Concert & Fireworks Show
The Town of Miami Lakes will be hosting a fireworks show. There will be live music as well as food for sale.
Time: 6:30PM – 8:30PM

July 11th
Perez Art Museum Miami
“Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is now open to the public in Museum Park. Pérez Art Museum Miami is a modern and contemporary art museum dedicated to collecting and exhibiting international art of the 20th and 21st centuries.” – PAMM
Time: 10AM – 6PM
Location: 1103 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33132
PAMM has free admission every second Saturday of the month.
Wynwood Art Walk
“Wynwood Art Walk, also known as Second Saturday Art Walk, is a monthly event in the Wynwood Art District when nearly all galleries, bars, and restaurants are open and artists and companies stage events. The area becomes electrified from thousands of visitors. Besides enjoying and buying art, visitors eat at the local restaurants, visit bars, shop from street vendors. A variety of things may be going on including artists working on graffiti, models being photographed, companies doing promotions, bands giving free concerts, and stuff we can’t describe because we haven’t seen it yet.” – Wynwood Art Walk
Time: Prime hours between 7PM – 11PM. Parking is best before 7pm.
