Football signings are a national even, broadcasted world wide as each new player proudly displays their team’s cap and sign off their contracts. Last Friday, May 1, MLEC followed suit, joining in for National College Signing Day,
A way to celebrate seniors’ acceptances into their choices o college and universities, seniors were all invited into the gymnasium, where they were all asked to sign their ‘contract’ with their chosen school.
“It’s essentially a boost in morale for everyone attends it,” said Giancarlo Tejeda, a top senior attending University of Florida next year. “It reflects all the effort that each and every one of us put into their high school careers an they can be proud at what they have to show for it.”
Mr. Parker and 2015’s class sponsor Ms. Castro gave their seniors one of their last bids of good luck as they signed they made a final confirmation to the their future.
