As spring break approaches, many students are deciding how they will spend their time off. While some look forward to traveling and outdoor adventures, others opt for a more relaxed break at home. The week-long break offers an opportunity for both excitement and rest.
“This spring break, I’m not planning for much besides going to the beach with my friends because my friend was making plans for the future, and she decided we should go on to the beach, spring break. So I’m excited about that,” said sophomore Angelina Chirino.
For many, spring break is the perfect time to visit Florida’s theme parks or beaches. With Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Busch Gardens just a few hours away, thrill-seekers are eager to experience new rides and attractions. Others plan to soak up the sun at popular beach destinations like Miami, Clearwater, and Daytona, taking advantage of the summer weather and ocean waves.
“This spring break, I’m not planning for much aside from going to the beach with my friends,” said junior Leonardo Roldan.
Not everyone is eager to travel. Some students prefer a quiet break at home, catching up on sleep, streaming movies, and playing video games. Many agree that staying in can be just as enjoyable, whether it’s hanging out with friends, working a part-time job, or simply enjoying a slower pace.
Regardless of how students spend their time, spring break serves as a much-needed break from the demands of school. For everyone at MLEC, it is a way to relax and take a break from academics. Whether traveling or staying home, the week offers a chance to recharge before the final stretch of the academic year.
