For many students, the stress-filled season of online AP testing and submissions of AICE essays and projects has struck—leaving many struggling with concentration and a great lack of motivation.
With hardcore studying and being on the verge of burning out, assignments have quickly turned into an ongoing cycle of boredom and immense amounts of pressure—a cycle that will continue on into the rest of the month.
However, for all of these countless hours that one will spend putting their mind to work, it’s safe to say that boredom—a vital part of this cycle—is an easy fix with music.
Music has always been a powerful tool to change the way people feel and, if carefully chosen, can make those who listen more productive at work. R&B is notoriously known for having the ability to usher in a surge of adrenaline and motivation—one needed when trying to write a six-page essay for AICE or IB classes or study over five units of an AP course.
When not listening to distracting music in the process of trying to work, efficiency levels soar as not only does one feel relaxed with the following tranquil beats, but they are still able to focus on their work and finish effectively.
In the following playlist, these smooth and R&B beats are enjoyable to study to and include a range of underground artists like Teyana Taylor and Cleo Sol along with not-so underground artists like Billie Eilish and Mac Miller.
With the click of a button, one can diverge into the realm of productivity—trailing behind some new and great music on the side.
