As December comes to an end, the new year is rolling just around the corner, filling us with excitement for the new releases of the upcoming 2024 year. From movies, TV shows, video games, and literature, 2024 is sure to keep you invested and intrigued for all it has to offer.
As we begin the new year we get ready to dive into a wave of fresh new movies hitting the big screen. From comedies to thrillers, 2024 has films that everyone can enjoy. The lineup for 2024 boasts a diverse range of genres for those of all ages, ensuring something for everyone. From eagerly anticipated sequels to bold new narratives, the upcoming year will offer an exciting cinematic experience for audiences around the globe to enjoy.
For movies, we start off with “Mean Girls,” releasing January 12, which is a new interpretation of the 2004 movie Mean Girls, in the form of a comedy/musical. Next, releasing on February 2 is “Argylle”, which tells the wondrous tale of a secret agent named Argylle in the form of an action spy comedy. Then, there is“Madame Web,” which releases February 14, and tells the tale of Cassandra Webb who gains clairvoyance. There is also “Dune: Part Two” releasing March 1, which is a continuation of “Dune,” released in 2021. Finally, there is “Kung Fu Panda 4,” releasing March 4, which continues the tale of Po and his adventures.
Similarly, TV shows will soon be hitting our screens as well inviting the public for many more adventures and entertainment for the year.
As an introduction to our 2024 TV shows, we start off with “The Brothers Sun,” releasing January 4, describes the story of a gangster who travels to LA in order to protect his family from assassins. Following is “Echo”, releasing on January 9 about Native American women Maya Lopez, also known as ‘Echo,’ who becomes boss of a New York street gang while being a deaf amputee. Continuing is, “Masters of the Air”, releasing January 26, which is about airmen during World War 11 risking their lives with the 100th Bomb Group. Then, there is “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”, releasing February 2, is a spy comedy based on the 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. And finally, Avatar: The Last Airbender, releasing February 22 as a live action remake of the 2005 series.
As video games continue to take the world by storm, 2024 offers nothing less and keeps on giving fans many upcoming releases to look forward to.
Our list for the upcoming 2024 games begins with “Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth”, releasing January 26 as a sequel to “Yakuza: Like a Dragon.” On the same date “Tekken 8” also releases, which continues the story of Tekken 7. Next is “Persona 3 Reload”, releasing on February 2, which is a remake of the 2006 “Persona 3.” There is also “Final Fantasy V11 Rebirth”, releasing February 29, which is also a remake of the 2021 version. And to conclude, there is “Princess Peach: Showtime,” releasing on March 22, detailing the adventure of Princess Peach, who faces off against villains like Wicked Grape and the Sour Bunch.
Much like the rest, literature does not fall behind in the grand updates of the upcoming 2024 year. With new knowledge on when they should be releasing, these books are sure to keep you amused and engaged for many days to come.
Our upcoming books for 2024 are, “The Atlas Complex,” by Olivie Blake, releasing January 9 as the final installment of the Atlas series. Then, there is “The Fury,” by Alex Michaelides, releasing January 16, which tells the tale of an ex-movie star and her friends who take a trip to a private Greek island until an unexpected murder takes place among them. Next is “Where Sleeping Girls Lie,” by Faridah Abike-Iyimide, releasing on March 19, about a new girl in a prestigious boarding school who finds out dark secrets amongst the school.
Continuing is “A Witch’s Guide To Magical Innkeeping,” by Sangu Mandanna, releasing on April 2 which is about a witch who gains a second chance to get her life and magic back on track. And finally is “Funny Story,” by Emily Henry, releasing on April 23 which tells the tale of an unexpected romance between Daphne and her ex- fiance’s new ex fiancee’s ex.
As our journey through the upcoming releases of 2024 concludes, anticipation continues to remain while we look towards witnessing the storytelling powers of filmmakers, authors, and game developers alike, giving us many things to count on and look towards this upcoming year.
