On Tuesday the Miami Heat revealed their 5th and final set of Vice Jerseys, ViceVersa. This is the final set of uniforms for their famous Vice City Edition Jersey campaign. 

The Heat first brought Vice in the 2017-2018 season which was white vice. The very next season (2018-2019) the Heat introduced “Vice Nights” a black version of the previous white ones. During that same season, the Heat introduced “Sunset Vice” a pink version of the jerseys. And finally last season they revealed “Vice Wave” the blue version. 

These new jerseys are a combination of the previous 4 ones, Vice, Vice Nights, Sunset Vice, and Vice Wave. Combining their laser Fuschia color and blue gale comes a new color to the uniform set: “Vice Violet”. This is the main color for this set which offers a pink and blue gradient. For the 4th straight season, these are arguably the best jerseys in the league. 

“ViceVersa fast-forwards VICE to where it’s never been before: the Miami of a not-so-distant tomorrow. ViceVersa isn’t necessarily a destination—it’s a feeling, a mood, an energy,” as per the team’s statement. 

“ViceVersa has duality—existing as either pink or blue depending on your point-of-view. It has a singularity, sporting a design unlike any HEAT or NBA uniform before it. But it also honors HEAT history, with traces of previous VICE uniforms featured throughout. ViceVersa also leverages the uniform’s unique design via illusions, mirroring, and reflections. The uniform celebrates the pink and blue gradient, which has been a staple in all of the previous VICE campaigns,” the Heat’s release continued. 

In addition to the ViceVersa jerseys, the new color ViceViolet also brings a new court. This new Vice court will be used at American Airlines Arena when the team plays in the ViceVersa Jerseys. The exact dates are unknown as the NBA schedule has yet to be released. 

ViceVersa merchandise launched for purchase on Thursday, 12:01 AM on The Miami Heat store website. However, the Heat is only taking pre-orders for ViceVersa Jerseys. Due to production delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, jerseys will begin shipping on a certain schedule with the earliest date being February 1st. The exact schedule can be found on the Heat’s ViceVersa page, 2021-heat-vice-uniform-collection.

As the Vice chapter comes to a close with ViceVersa, these sets of jerseys have perfectly captured the essence of Miami. Displaying the vibrance and urbancy of South Beach, the mix of pink and blue contrasted against white and black combined for one of the best jerseys ever seen.
